Vambris builds resilience tooling for cloud identity. We started with Microsoft Entra External ID because it sits underneath the sign-in experience of the products businesses sell to their own customers — and because Microsoft provides no native backup or restore for most of its configuration.
Why customer identity needs its own recovery plan
Customer identity is a single point of failure that most disaster recovery plans never cover. A deleted user flow, an overwritten conditional access policy, or a mistaken change to a claims mapping can lock every one of your customers out at the same time. Rebuilding that configuration by hand, under pressure, with no record of what it looked like an hour earlier, is not a recovery plan.
EIDGuard captures versioned recovery points of your Entra External ID configuration, detects drift as changes happen, and restores with an understanding of how objects depend on one another — so a restore puts the tenant back in a working state rather than a partially wired one.
How we think about your data
A product that protects identity infrastructure should not require you to hand that infrastructure's contents to a third party. That principle decided the architecture before anything else did, and it is why EIDGuard is deployed into your environment rather than operated as a multi-tenant service holding your configuration.
- It runs in your tenant, not oursEIDGuard deploys into your own Azure subscription. Recovery points are written to storage you own, and your identity data never reaches Vambris.
- Read-only by defaultBackup collection uses tenant-approved permissions that cannot modify your configuration. Restores are explicit, deliberate actions you initiate.
- Preview before anything changesEvery restore starts as a read-only preview, so you see exactly what would change before it does — no blind writes into an identity tenant.
